WHAT IS THE LARGEST U.S. EMBASSY IN THE WORLD?

It's the U.S. Embassy in Baghdad. It's a 104 acre self-contained compound that includes the embassy, residences for the ambassador and staff, commissary, cinema, retail, shopping, restaurants, private event facilities, schools, fire station, a classified secure structure, and housing for more than 380 families. Designed by Berger Devine Yaeger Inc out of Kansas City, MO. and being built by First Kuwaiti General Trading & Contracting. Although supposed to be finished by August, and as New Yorkers know the “ready date” always requires a minimum of an additional six months for the completion date. Of course over budget, in October the number was at $750 million with an original budget of $540 million. To take a look at the plans and drawings for the project jump here.
